As you are reading this, there is a new generation of MURC rowers who are working hard to become elite athletes and successful students. They are trudging up the hill to Currie Gym to complete an erg workout, they are crammed into a small car on their way to the basin, or enjoying a hot breakfast with friends while wearing layers of wet spandex.
These rowers need our support, and this year we have an excellent opportunity to show them that they have generations of alumni who are willing to help. As the 2008 Summer Olympics approach, we are asking you to help us purchase a new women's eight for the 2008 rowing season.
There are three ways that you can help with this fundraising campaign.
Donate money. In connection with the 2008 Olympics and the 2008 rowing season, we are asking for donations of $208.00, but all gifts will be greatly appreciated.
Encourage other people to donate money. Tell your parents, your employer and all of your old rowing friends about this fundraiser. The more people who know about this exciting fundraiser, the more successful it will be. Please refer your friends and family to this website.
Provide us with contact information for any MURC alumni that you are still in touch with. If you don't feel comfortable asking friends to donate, help us get in touch with them, so that we can tell them about our goal for 2008. If you wish to make a donation there are two ways that you can do this.
The first option is to send a cheque, payable to McGill University, to the address below. Be sure that you specify on the cheque that it is for the "Women's Rowing Boat."

In order to ensure that your donation is directed to this fundraiser, you must type "Women's Rowing Boat" in the box marked "Other," and type the amount of your donation in the box beside it. Please check to see if your employer is one of the companies that participates in the gift matching program before making your donation. You will be able to view the complete list of companies when you donate online.
